On Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 19:19 Hours the Elsmere Fire Company ( Station 16 ), along with Engine and Rescue 14 ( Cranston Heights ) and Engine and Ladder 17 ( Five Points), to a Residental fire in the 2200 block of Linkwood Avenue in Brack-Ex. Elsmere 2nd assistant chief Rich Rodriquez ( 168-C) arrived first and reported heay fire conditions in a single-story, frame structure. Elsmere Fire Company 2013 Instalation Dinner and Meeting

House Fire With Injuries

Two men were injured in a house fire Sunday night in Elsmere that officials have ruled accidental.Elsmere Fire Chief George Giles said this morning that a younger brother of the 83-year-old resident of the home arrived after the fire broke out and pulled his brother out of the building.The fire was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Taylor road in the Rosemont community.Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames and smoke coming from the house, said Robert Fox, chief deputy state fire marshal.A New Castle County paramedic found two injured men standing outside the home, said Tom … Continue reading

HOLIDAY PARADE CANCELLED

The Elsmere Fire Company along with the Town of Elsmere have decided to cancel the Holiday Parade due to weather reports from the National Weather Service.
