Elsmere Fire Company

Just after 20:00hrs on Sunday August 22nd, Station 16 and mutual aid units were dispatched to the unit block of Harvey Rd in Vilone Village for a house fire. Engine 16, Ladder 16, and Assistant Chief 16-8B all responded and arrived within 1 minute of dispatch and found a 2 story residence with heavy fire showing from the first floor. Engine 16 and Ladder 16 assumed their respective roles and began a fire attack and searches. Mutual aid units assisted with additional handlines, searches and overhaul of the structure. The situation was under control within 30 minutes, and Assistant Chief Foulke had the Elsmere Command.
